According to the Los Angeles Times, it is a great opportunity for the Lakers. LeBron James, the Lakers, and Anthony Davis make a great team together. He is experiencing things that LeBron James experienced for the past nine years. LeBron is not the only superstar of his team for the first time in his life. LeBron exclaimed, “It is great to feel surrounded by other talents because you know your stress is relieved.” “It definitely does not mean that you will underperform, but it really helps to know that there are other guys in the foxhole to support you. This allows you to perform at a higher level every night,”, James concluded. The famous NBA team seems to maximize its potential by signing two superstars.

The Criticism

Fans viewed this partnership differently. Public sentiments changed about the teaming up of stars since 2010. This was the time when, in summer, James decided to join Miami heat and play with Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade. James further received criticism for abstaining from Cleveland Cavaliers. The fans were more upset because of the announcement of his plans over the television.

Davis, on the other hand, attracts major criticism for his trade request to get out of New Orleans. He did not promote to partner with James. Davis, however, soon saw the benefits of partnering with James during a preseason game at home. On Wednesday, the Lakers went against Warriors. Davis was amazing to see how the team led with 20 points when he scored only 5 points. Thoughtfully gazed at James, thinking this has never happened before.

Davis says, “When he rolls, picks, or comes off from a down screen, he grabs too much attention.” “There are usually two guys chasing him, which gives me the opportunity to score.” James also sees this pairing to be very effective and feels that they can sharpen with each other. Vogel said, “Davis is a good player, probably the third-best. We need to add him to the mix in order to score from different directions”.
