Winning a beauty pageant is not easy. It requires hard work, a lot of sacrifices, and determination. Janelle Tee, who comes from Pasig City, is one such contestant whose dreams were of winning the beauty pageants. It was a dreading sight to give up on her dreams of becoming the beauty queen. She was not becoming any younger, and there was still one major crown to bag. Janelle became 28 this year, and it is usually the age limit bar all the beauty contests have. But this year came bearing a piece of good news for her.
The Previous Win
The organizers of the Miss Earth beauty pageant came up to the decision that they will be accepting women up to 28 this year. This news came as a new life to Janelle. She soon came to the realization that God was giving her a sign and that it was her last chance. After winning the title of miss earth Philippines 2019, she is one of her interview mentions, “It is never too late to pursue your dreams.” The Coronation Night was held on July 10, 2019, at Okada Manila.
The final round was between her and Ana Monica Tan, who was from Tagoloan Town. She gave a very positive impression to the judges during her Q and A round. She was asked a question from the Miss Oriental about how we make a happier mother Earth and a better nation. In her reply, she gave a massive display of impressive pointers regarding the need for eco-tourism and the demands of jobs all around. This answer proves to be a guarantee for her win. This event host and television personality won against 39 candidates.
The Epic Fail
She, however, also took part in the Miss earth of 2019. But her dreams did not make it this time. She went through the round of 20 contestants but did not get in the final 10. This was a hard loss for the winner of Miss Earth Philippines. She, however, did not lose hope, and she always believes that God has a very special way of surprising all his believers.
